About Us

There's a lot about accessibility and the ADA you probably don't know. Fortunately, we do.

There is no substitute for experience. Margen + Associates (M+A) is recognized nationwide for our 28 years working with disability access requirements and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Clients come to us for our depth of experience in dealing with complex accessibility laws and policies that govern facility construction and program access in California and throughout the U.S. territories. Clients depend on us to guide them through the maze of statues and regulations, and ensure compliance when building or making property improvements.

Our ongoing relationships with the agencies that develop, interpret and enforce accessibility laws, ensure that clients remain informed as requirements change and evolve. In fact, we are actively involved in the development and revision of accessibility codes, including California's accessibility standards and the ADA guidelines.

Our clients count on accurate and up-to-date information on the full spectrum of accessibility issues. And above that, advise and guidance on proactive planning and design. We provide practical and manageable solutions to even the most complex and intractable problems.

Margen + Associates staff are California Certified Accessibility Specialists (CASp) under the Division of the State Architect's CASp program. Principal Consultant Peter Margen served as a Subject Matter Expert and assisted the California Division of the State Architect in developing the examination and certification materials for architects, consultants and enforcement personnel.
